Movie "Alice Through the Looking Glass", USA, 2016. Produced by Tim Burton as a Suite to the previous one he had produced, yet on the same theme, "Alice in Wonderland", both based on Lewis Carrol's homonymous novels.

Carrol was the pseudonym of Charles Lutwige Dodgson, Daresbury, EN, 1898.01.14, Guildford, EN, Writer, Pedophile Photographer – he was used to photograph naked little girls with the consent of their mothers - Mathematician and Pastor.

Directed by James Bobin (Muppets, 2011, 2014). Screenplay by Linda Woolwerton (The Lion King, The Beauty and the Beast, Malevolent).

With Mia Wasikowska (as Alice, in a poor performance), Helen Bonham Carter (as the Red Queen she steals the scene and is the true protagonist of the film, next to the Hatter, both with excellent Performance) and Anne Hathaway (as the White Queen, vanished in the play). All of them also appeared in the previous film.

Alice returns from an adventure at sea and finds her ex-boyfriend married and owner of the shipping company that was from her missing father.

The bad guy tries to blackmail her, proposing to exchange her ship (Wonder) for the rescue of her mother's debt (that she assumed, after her husband’s disappearance and Alice’s travel), taking for guarantee the family´s house.

With no way out, Alice accidentally discovers a passage back to Wonderland (we always fantasize other worlds when reality imposes insurmountable grieves), through a magical mirror.

She discovers that Mad Hatter is languishing, believing that his Family (who apparently died in the previous film) was alive, no one knows where.

Alice decides to help him, returning in Time, and discovers that  Red Queen in fact imprisoned them like miniatures.

All are rescued and get together, and Hatter recovered his health (physical and emotional, not mental)!

Alice travels in Time again, from the Past, in time to fix it (yes, Time was breaking out), and then to home, in the Present, where, along with her mother, she snags her ex-fiancé and head together with her Mother to the deep sea.

Just as the story of the original Book is only a backdrop to Lewis's mathematical puzzles, the film is a scene-curtain to highlight good people pretenders, who sin hidden, like White Queen, who lies to her mother and incriminates her sister, The Red Queen, which is assumed bad.

But they can be regenerated by asking for forgiveness - only we who think we are good people can ask the forgiveness of those we consider evil.

Also, noteworthy for the part that highlights the classic male diagnosis of "female hysteria", when women do not accept suspicious behavior or monocratic decisions of men.

Another spotlight is the bad guy family Lawyer's decision to move on to the team of the young good lady, realizing the injustice of his bosses, but also getting ready to win (why not?) her Heart and her bed in the next Movie, of course in Wonder, with the Returned Father-in-Law.

Outstanding special effects, whimsical.
